Our 2026 location is at the Hilton Beachfront Resort in Hilton Head Island, SC.

A block of rooms have been reserved for a discounted rate.  Hotel dates for the conference are from Monday-Thursday, but you may extend the discounted rate before or after the event.

Tod Bolsinger

Tod Bolsinger is the founder and principal at AE Sloan Leadership Inc., the executive director of the DePree Center Church Leadership Institute, and associate professor of leadership formation at Fuller Seminary. He is the author of Canoeing the Mountains and Tempered Resilience. Tod and his wife, Beth, split their time between Pasadena, California, and Ketchum, Idaho.

One of the critical elements of the Larger Church conference is community.  Many of our members share that it was at this conference that they met other pastors who they could lean on to ask questions, find support, and grow in their leadership.

Other Details

Airport options include Hilton Head Island (HHH, 6 miles away), Savannah (SAV, 46 miles away), or Charleston (CHS, 107 miles away) .  The events of the conference start with registration on Monday late afternoon, and we recommend you arrive at the hotel by 5PM local time Monday.  The event will end by 12:00PM on Thursday.

Parking is available on site for a fee.  If not renting a car, pre-arranged shuttles are recommended from Savannah.  Local transit is readily available on the island.

Registration fees generally include two meals together, as well as snacks during our morning sessions.  A schedule will be distributed ahead of the event.

Our meeting times are Monday evening for dinner, as well as Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.

We want to learn together, but we are also committed to rest, relaxation, and fun.  Tuesday and Wednesday’s general sessions will be in the morning, leaving the afternoon for you to explore Santa Fe or the surrounding areas.

Yes!

Many conference attendees (half or more) are joined by their spouses for the week.  Spouses are welcome to sit in on any or all sessions or enjoy the comfort of the hotel.

Beth Lewis Scholarship

In 2018, our Larger Church Conference recognized the work of an amazing woman and partner in ministry, Beth Lewis. We wanted to bless her for her work with our group as well as the work she has done for the church of Jesus! So we decided to create a Luther Seminary endowed scholarship in her name. The Beth Lewis Scholarship will be a blessing to a young person pursing their call to serve the church of Jesus too. Blessed to be a blessing enacted once again!
